Mbappe, 19, became the first youngest player to score for France at a major international tournament. 

The Peru side, under Coach Ricardo Gareca, is yet to score a single goal in the world following the first loss of 1-0 to Denmark, which was held to a 1-1 draw by Australia. 

The Denmark side needs only a point against the Les Bleus in order to proceed to the next round of the competition. Antoine Griezmann fired wide in the 11th after getting an open chance as Paul Pogba’s magic failed to work when he also tested Peru goalkeeper Gallese.

On the other side of Russia, Argentina’s hope of progressing hangs in balance after they were massacred 3: 0 by Croatia. Lionel Messi failed to score for the second time. 

The heartbroken Messi left fans in tears including his Former coach and legend Diego Maradona.
