Sirisia Member of Parliament John Waluke has asked Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya to convey a message to Cord leader Raila Odinga that the Luhya community was willing to work with him if he supported Amani National Congress (ANC) presidential candidate Musalia Mudavadi in the 2017 elections.

Speaking in Khwisero during a funds drive at Khwisero Secondary School where a host of other Luhya leaders had convened, Mr Waluke said that the community was willing to work with the former Prime Minister if he (Raila) joined the campaign to see Musalia into the State House in 2017.

“Governor Oparanya should stop beating about the bush and tell Mr Odinga that Luhyas will work with him if he supports Mr Mudavadi’s bid for Presidency,” Waluke said.

On his part, the Kakamega governor said he was willing to support Mudavadi basing on the fact that the former Deputy Prime Minister was humble and respected other politicians.

He further said that he was not willing to join Jubilee, revealing a possibility of working with ANC in case there arose need to look elsewhere outside the Orange party.
