Residents are feared trapped in a building in Pipeline's Kware estate after the seven-storey residential house collapsed on Monday.

According to Kamau Mwangi, a witness, police officers evacuated occupants at around 7pm but he expressed fears that not all of them could have been evacuated.

This came after the building began to show signs of collapsing.

"But there are some people who sneaked back to collect some of their belongings before the building caved in."

"We haven't been able to scrutinise but we believe some people could be trapped," he said as reported by the star.

"Embakassi South MP Irshad Sumra and Nairobi county fire brigade are at the scene," he added.
