Four members set to represent Kenya in the World Championship in London failed to report to the training camp on Tuesday.
According to team coach Julius Kirwa, the athletes missing in action were Irene Irene Cheptai, Agnes Jebet, Eunice Sum and Margaret Chelimo
The coach stated the athletes must pass three mandatory doping tests or they risk being pulled out of the team.
"We haven't heard from the athletes since the national trials and we don't know where they are and their state. AK must take decisive action against them," said Kirwa as reported by Xinhua news.
Kenya’s 50 athletes will be competing against the likes of USA, China, and Germany in a athletic championship which starts August 4.
"We have medal prospects in relays and the field events. Our javelin athlete Julius Yego is doing well and we hope we can compete well in 400m and the relays," said Kirwa.
Despite a plethora of athletes for Kenya to choose from injury and competition has cut the team to 51 athletes set to represent the country in the World Championship set be held in London
