Before he jetted out, Nyagarama handed over to his deputy Amos Nyaribo but barred him from nominating, appointing and dismissing officers.

"This is to inform you that I will be out of the country for some days. I am undergoing medical checkup. Kindly exercise all duties of the governor," he said.

Since his departure, the county has been thrown to a limbo with a section of workers accusing the Nyaribo of witch hunt.

On Tuesday, a section of leaders led by political activist Patel Aboki, said the governor should issue statement on his health.

"Everything is in standstill and there is a lot of fights. The governor should come out and address the county.

"If this continues, things won't work out. He has to speak so that we know his condition," said Mr. Aboki.

Sources privy to the governor's health say that he is still admitted in a US hospital and his condition has substantially improved.
