Despite earlier reports about his improving health, Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama after all remains indisposed in undisclosed hospital.
For two weeks now, Nyagarama has been out of action with sources intimating that he is suffering from 'failing limbs'.
In fact, he had to delegate some of executive duties to his deputy Amos Nyaribo during the Kakamega devolution conference, a move that has now caused anxiety among his supporters.
"It is worrying that this is the second week and his presence is nowhere. We understand that he was unable to walk on his own but they should come out and speak about it," said one of workers.
Another resident Evans Nyayiemi said: "The health of a public figure like him should be made public all the time. It is wrong to continue keeping us in darkness."
On Sunday, a local paper reported that the governor's son is also admitted in Nairobi Hospital thus his decision to miss out from a key Gusii community meeting in Naivasha.
