Tension is high at Eburu Location , Mbaruk / Eburu Ward , Naivasha constituency after clashes erupted today between two warring communities that left one man seriously wounded while score others sustained injuries .
Confirming the incident Naivasha sub-county commissioner Abraham Kemboi said that security forces have been deployed in the area to maintain security.
Briefing the press today at his office in Naivasha Town ,Kemboi said that the county security committee met to discuss the state of tension.
“ Today I chaired a meeting on security with sub county security meeting and we decided to arrest the situation by deploying security forces at Eburu”, said Kemboi.
Kemboi urged the warring communities to bury their difference for the benefit of maintaining security in the area.
“ We want the warring communities to live in peace and bury their animosity”, said Kemboi.
He however warned the warring communities that stern action would be taken failure to obey his orders.
“ The provincial administration can’t keep silent and watch lives of innocent residents and property perish by lawlessness criminals”, said Kemboi.
Animosity has being reining between the Kikuyu and Masaai communities at Eburu over the vast undeveloped tracks of land of ADC which each of the community claim to have a stake over ownership.
Rumours still had it that the clashes were triggered by a man from one community who was found with his pants down with a woman from the other community , allegation that has not being confirmed.
