There was tension in Kibra Monday morning after a youth was allegedly gunned down by police on night patrol in what some say was a continuation of extra-judicial killings in the area.
Witnesses say that Jamil Mohammed alias ‘Sisco’ was at local joint Sky Villa Pub in Ayany when police came for him at around 9:30pm on Sunday.
There was a power blackout at the time and police are said to have taken him out immediately they identified him.
Sources state that the last word they heard from him was an argument just as police were pulling him away from the pub.
"Mnataka kuniua wapi na ni ngapi?" (Where do you want to kill me from and what’s the number?)
Shots were then heard and eye witness say that he was gunned point blank without retaliation and the body taken immediately into the patrol car.
Sisco had just been released after a 15-year jail term.
