[Photo|Kenyans.co.ke]Tension is high in Kisumu county as police are engaging protestors in running battles.The demonstrators in Kondele who have vowed not to participate in the Thursday's fresh presidential poll are throwing stones and water bottles at the police officers deployed in the area.Reports also indicate the protestors are possessing teargas canisters which they are lobbing at the anti-riot police. The opposition followers have barricaded roads and lit bonfires to ensure the voting exercise is paralysed in the region. Police have been forced to fire in the and use water canons to disperse the crowd. The voting is yet to kick off in the county as the presiding officers, deputy presiding officers and clerks failed to show up.
