Outgoing Uasin Gishu County Assembly speaker Isaac Terer has revealed that he will seek re-election as the house speaker.He said he has what it takes to deserve a second term in office.“My record speaks for itself. Under my leadership Uasin Gishu County Assembly passed 38 bills, 42 motions and 102 reports,” he said in Eldoret town, Thursday.“I will ensure that the house passes bill that will improve the livelihoods of residents. I urge residents and elected Members of County Assembly (MCAs) to support my bid. Under my tenure the house will play its oversight role to the latter,” he added.Speaker Terer urged Kenyans to remain peaceful and refrain from being incited by self-centered politicians to cause violence.“I applaud Kenyans for maintaining peace before and during elections. Let us maintain the same spirit even after elections since Kenya is bigger than an individual,” noted Terer.
