Police are warning Kenyans to be very vigilant over a possible Al Shabaab attack after nine Kenyan terrorists who had joined the Somali-based group returned to the country. According to security agents, the terrorists are looking for safer grounds in Kenya after the Kenyan Defense Forces and Somalia army intensified their attacks against the group. “They are reported to be on the way to Kenya or already here to launch attacks from within,” said a police report, as quoted by The Standard. The suspected terrorists that are plotting to harm Kenyans include Mohamed Tajir, Abdullahi Carson Kotola, Juma Were, Habib Karongo, Faud Abubakar Mwanswab, Gafu Tari Gufu, Ahmed Said Omar, Issa Abdalla Kauni and Abubakar Abdikadir Abubakar. Quoting police sources, The Standard reports that some of the suspected terrorists have already contacted their relatives in Kenya for safe passage. Mr George Kinoti, the police spokesman, has warned Kenyans to be very vigilant during the Easter festivities and in the coming month. “We have to be careful and work with the security agencies to tame plans of these terrorists,” Kinoti said, urging Kenyans to report any suspicious activities.
