Terror suspect Tasmin Yakub was on Monday laid to rest at Manyimbo Muslim cemetery in Tudor.
Tasmin was among three female terror suspects who were gunned down by police on September 11, following a botched attack at the Central Police Station in Mombasa.
Prayers were held at Masjid-Ul-Khaiyarat in Kiziwi before the burial.
Her accomplices Ramla and Maimuna Hussein were laid to rest on September 25, after government pathologist Johansen Oduor issued a comprehensive postmortem report.
According to The star, it took the persistent intervention of Council of Imams and Preachers (CIPK) to get the body released from the Coast General Hospital mortuary.
"We know there's controversy surrounding all this, but we as the Muslim community members intervened and were allowed to take the body for burial,” said Sheikh Hassan Suleiman.
Tasmin is said to be the mastermind behind the attack.
