Ngewa Member of County Assembly Karungo Thang'wa has not lost hope in his legal attempt to ouster Kiambu Governor William Kabogo.

Thang'wa said that he would move to court to challenge the decision taken by the Kiambu deputy speaker Anthony Macharia to overturn a motion to ouster the governor.

Speaking on Tuesday at Kiambu Town, Thang'wa said that they would move to court to seek a review of the decision to overturn the motion.

“We want the court to interpret the contentious issues leading to shooting down of the motion,” said Thang'wa.

He alleged that the MCAs had traversed the whole of Kiambu County and convinced the electorate the accusations against Kabogo and their intention to table an impeachment motion upon getting the required signatures.

The motion however exposed sharp divisions among MCAs who claimed intimidation to drop out the impeachment motion.

The ouster bid was spearheaded by Limuru Central MCA Njenga Murugami and seconded by Karungo Thang'wa. However, their attempt to ouster Kabogo hit a snag after some MCAs alleged that they were intimidated to drop the motion and that their signatures were used without their consent.

Kiambu County Members of Assembly who are unhappy with Kabogo's leadership having accused him for refusal to return the county's office to Kiambu Town from Thika Town, ignoring summons by the senate to answer audit queries and refusal to follow due process when renovating county headquarters in Kiambu Town.
