This is after Governor Ferdinand Waititu on Wednesday nominated Thang'wa as the new Roads, Transport, Public Works and Utilities County Executive Committee Member.

Kiambu County Assembly Speaker Stephen Ndichu has noted that the nominee's name has been forwarded to the assembly for vetting.

"A notice of motion has been filed at the assembly to debate the suitability of Hon Paul Karungo Thang'wa as the nominee for CECM of Roads," Ndichu said in a statement.

The former vocal MCA has been working at Gukena FM, a Kikuyu radio station owned by Radio Africa Group as a presenter.

Thang'wa took up the job after his failed senatorial bid in last year's general election.

During his tenure as Ward Rep, Thang'wa was a fierce critic of the then Governor William Kabogo whom he accused of running Kiambu as a family business.
