Ngewa ward MCA, Karungo wa Thang’wa, has criticized his counterparts for purportedly voting in the Kajiado seat by election.
The MCAs are being accused of voting in the Kajiado Constituency by election yet they are not registered in the constituency.
The election saw Coalition of Reforms and Democracy (CORD) Elijah Memusi gunning down his Jubilee Alliance Party (JAP) candidate Patrick Tutui.
For now Tutui is threatening to take Memusi to court challenging his victory as the area MP.
There is some pictures being circulated on social media of some MCAs from other constituencies queuing on voting lines and others purporting to cast votes.
Thangw'a said that according to Independent Electoral Boundaries Commission (IEBC) rules and regulations it is illegal for an individual to pose for photograph in any polling station before, during or after voting.
He expressed his concerns with the IEBC officials who he accused of sleeping in their jobs.
Thangw'a said IEBC officials in the polling stations where the photographs were taken need to be prosecuted to avoid repetition of the same.
The Kajiado seat fell vacant last year when President Uhuru Kenyatta appointed former MP Joseph Nkaissry as the Interior Cabinet Secretary.
The MCA was speaking today (Friday) in Ngewa ward when he hosted journalist to talk about the development in his Ward.
