Ngewa MCA Karungo wa Thang’wa has asked the county government to pump more money into health, education and infrastructure development.

Addressing the public at Gikuo village on Friday, the MCA said that health, education and infrastructure sector needs proper funding.

He said that the people need good and accessible access to health services. The MCA says that access to health services in some parts of Kiambu remains a big challenge.

“The government should pump more money into health so that our people can get good health services,” he said.

Thang'wa noted that most hospitals and health centres have no specialized treatment services.

He said that most residents are being forced to seek specialised services and treatment from hospitals in neighbouring counties.

Thang’wa said that socio-economic development can only be achieved when the health and security of the people is first guaranteed.

The Ngewa MCA also urged the county to improve road infrastructure. He said that most roads connecting the Ward with other areas are in poor standards.

“People have been complaining to me about poor roads and infrastructure development, the Kiambu government should seriously look into the issue of roads,” he stated.

Thang’wa said that the Kiambu Assembly will keep an eye on the county executive especially on issues to do with money and development.

He said that taxpayers money must be utilised well and at the same time benefit the people.
