Tip Tip chairperson Kalembe Ndile has thanked president Uhuru Kenyatta for appointing him in the Water Services Regulatory Board in the country.
Addressing journalists in Machakos on Wednesday Kalembe thanked the president for appointing him. He further promised to serve Kenyans diligently.
Kalembe noted that lack of water is biggest challenge to development saying that his aim is to make sure that the commodity is available to all.
He dismissed claims that his appointment was based on his political stand but he said his experience saw him appointed.
“I was appointed because I have the experience," said Kalembe.
He vowed that once he kicks off job in the board his first attempt will be to make water available country wide. He wondered why Kenyans have to pay get water.
President Uhuru Kenyatta appointed 302 people to head 79 parastatals which is already eliciting mixed reactions among Kenyans.
Kalembe either urged all political leaders in the country among them the CORD leaders who are against the list to support the appointed members.
