President Uhuru Kenyatta has expressed satisfaction, over the manner his government has handled Devolution.

He said he was happy to be the first president to lead Kenyans into the devolution system of governance, since he took power in 2013.

According to him, too much had been delivered with help of the County governments, and concerted efforts from all stakeholders.

''I am proud that we — always working together with other parts of government, and lifted by the goodwill and participation of ordinary Kenyans right across the country — have been able to change so much so quickly,'' Uhuru said.

"I want to thank both levels of government for working so hard to make devolution a success,'' he added, when he officiated the Fourth Annual Devolution Conference, in Naivasha.

He insisted that without the commitment of ordinary Kenyans across the country, none of the leaders would have a success to their names.

''I am grateful for the work we have all done, and I am humbled by the energy and patriotism I have seen these last few years. For my part, I am privileged to have overseen the establishment of devolution,'' Uhuru said, Tuesday.
