With the opposition still disgruntled on how the IEBC is constituted ahead of the repeat presidential poll, NASA leader Raila Odinga has listed the officials he wants jailed at the commission.
The 12 include commissioners Abdi Guliye and Boya Molu together with chief executive Ezra Chiloba.
“The lot that conducted the last elections must watch the next one from their prison cells, not from the IEBC offices,” Raila said at a press conference at their Okoa Kenya secretariat in Lavington Monday afternoon.
He went on: “We do not want elections for the sake of it. We want elections to be conducted by men and women of integrity, not the Chilobas, Guliyes, Kassaits of this world.”
The 12 are Abdi Guliye, Boya Molu, Ezra Chiloba, Betty Nyabuto, Marjan Hussein Marjan, Immaculate Kasait (elections director), Praxedes Tororey (legal director), James Muhati (ICT director), Mr Moses Kipkosgey (Chiloba’s legal advisor), county returning officers Nancy Kariuki (Mombasa) and Sidney Namulungu (Kisii), and Silas Rotich (Nakuru).
