The National Council of Churches of Kenya (NCCK) has called on presidential candidates to stop spreading propaganda against one another ahead of the August polls.
Speaking on Tuesday in Kisumu, NCCK's Secretary General Canon Peter Karanja challenged politicians to instead sell their agenda for Kenyans.
“Presidential candidates should tell the public what they will do for them and not cause fear among them," he said.
The religious leaders also urged the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission to ensure free, fair and credible elections.
“In all your preparations, you must endeavour to act justly and compel all your staff to be seen to have done so,” he noted.
