National Assembly Majority leader and Garissa Township legislator Aden Duale says the new constitution has provided greater leverage for women to demand rights.
According to Duale, the constitution has enabled women demand for their rights, access appropriate services and effectively enjoy them.
“The constitution has provided greater leverage for women to demand rights¸ access¸ appropriate and effectively enjoy them,” said the Township legislator.
He added that one of the most notable achievements of the Kenya Women’s movement to date is the engendering of the new 2010 constitution which has allowed women to demand for their rights.
