Former Vice President Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka has divulged that the nation is headed in the wrong direction after President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto refused to create room for dialogue with the leaders of the opposition.
According to Kalonzo, the duo needs to rethink about the state of affairs in this nation before taking any step as far as governance is concerned.
He also said that they (Raila and him) cannot be charged with treason for fighting for the rights of what he termed as oppressed Kenyans. The sentiments of Kalonzo come after President Uhuru named his partial cabinet.
The country is headed in the wrong direction and they (government leaders) should not threaten us with treason charged because we must fight for what is just’ he said, as quoted by Kenyans.co.ke.
He also recounted his stay in Germany where he had taken his wife, Pauline for treatment. According to the Ukambani leader, he missed a lot while away. He further said that the stay gave him an opportunity to be away from the public domain.
“It’s painful to be away. The weather was oppressive... snowy and in a place where nobody knows you. It was however nice as I was able to run around in the streets when I could without anybody stopping me’ he added.
