The simmering rivalry between Prophet Owuor and Bishop Wanjiru exploded in public in 2014 when Owuor allegedly hit out at the Bishop for not performing miracles in her church in a crusade.
''You say that the glory of God is here yet you perform no miracles,'' the prophet is alleged to have said.
The former Starehe Member of Parliament could not take it lying down.
She fired back.
''When you stand up to preach in a crusade, in a conference, in a seminar, wherever you are preaching, don't make your colleagues your sermon. You preach Jesus Christ. You preach the Bible. You preach the word of God. There is this one man who whenever he stands to preach, he's only condemning preachers. He is only preaching against other pastors. It's not acceptable. It's not right. It's not ethical. I think it was in Kakamega or somewhere. Where do you go to a place like Kakamega and you make Bishop Margaret Wanjiru your sermon ,'' Bishop Margaret Wanjiru fired when she spoke on KTN to Esther Wanuna.
Wanjiru went on to challenge the prophet to tell Kenyans how he lives his life.
As a preacher, Owuor had no business in bashing those involved in spreading the word of God, Bishop Wanjiru said.
