There is much to be admired about the Citizen's Jeff Koinange.
The news presenter shares a glamorous career having served for prominent media houses around the globe.
Jeff has previously worked for the Standard and the Cable News Network (CNN) before landing at the Royal Media.
However, there is an instance in his career that will always break his heart: his sacking at CNN.
While speaking during his show on Hot 96 FM, Jeff narrated how his sacking came about while working for the international media.
He confessed that his boss at the CNN fired him through a phone in May 2007, as he drove on the highway.
“My boss called me and asked me to pull off the highway and he said, ‘Listen, man, there is too much crap, too many rumors, and Nigerians think you stage-managed that story. I don’t think we can sustain you any longer, we will need to let you go’,” Jeff said his boss told him.
Jeff had in early 2007 done the Niger Delta story, which became a trend worldwide, following its interviews with rebels who had kept the security of people and government of Nigeria at bay.
