In an interview on Janet Mbugua’s YouTube channel, Gichuru recalls she was hosting the current Kiambu Deputy Governor James Nyoro and Mr Kabogo, who were then contesting for the governor's seat in the 2013 elections.“So Citizen, we’ve just had this big, tough interview with Kabogo in 2013. And I had been sitting with my legs crossed the whole time and I didn’t realise that I had pins and needles. So when I stood up at the end of the interview, I literally fell,” said Gichuru.“Kabogo has the presence of mind to first look to see if the cameras were on and then he grabs me before I hit the ground…Can you imagine how fast that was?” she added.Gichuru, however, noted that the incident would have been a different story had the incident been caught on live TV.She termed the incident as ‘funny and ridiculous’, and thanked the Kiambu politician for catching her.Gichuru further revealed that she was a tomboy during her early years and once ate sand after a dare by a friend.Click here to watch the full interview.#historynow
