Television personality Julie Gichuru has revealed how former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo saved her from near embarrassment during a live television interview.
Julie during Janet Mbugua's (also of Citizen TV) weekly vlog show narrated of how Kabogo swiftly moved in and saved her from falling down just seconds before camera's went live during her interview with the Nairobi and Kiambu based businessman-cum politician.
She said the incident happened with little knowledge on her part that the cameras were about to go live.
"We had just had this tough interview with Kabogo in 2013. And I was seated the whole time with my legs crossed and I had not realised I had pins and needles. So when I stood up at the end of the interview, I literally fell," the TV personality who will be remembered for her Sunday Live show at Citizen TV said as quoted by Mpasho.
She said Kabogo quickly looked around to see if the cameras were live before he swiftly moved and caught her before she could fall down.
"It would have been another story and I thank you Kabogo for catching me," she said.
She said had the incident happened with Kenyans watching live on television, it would have been a huge embarrassment on her part.
