A fierce retired President Daniel Moi jetted out of South African’s Johannesburg with former Chepalungu MP Isaac Rutto after a disagreement, recalls James Orengo.
Rutto, who serves as Bomet Governor is now closely working with opposition in the hostile Rift Valley vote rich region.
And on Thursday, the renowned lawyer ruled out possibilities of governor Rutto condoning impunity even if Raila Odinga is elected as president.
“Rutto is a fighter and I remember there is a time he opposed the governance of Moi and presidency had to abandon him in South Africa,
“He is a man with principles and I don’t think he would just keep quiet if Raila messes this country. Kindly listen to his voice and vote the NASA government,” he said in Kericho rally.
Rutto served as a Minister in Moi’s government during the sun set days of Moi’s regime and the genesis of his disagreement with the retired president was not however elaborated.
In Rift Valley, eh are leading anti-Jubilee campaigns following his disagreement with DP William Ruto who is viewed as the region’s kingpin.
