Former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama is known for his political aggressiveness.
The Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s ally has often not shied away from criticizing the Jubilee government especially on matters corruption and poor governance.
Muthama during his five tenure as Machakos Senator was active in the Senate and often engaged in discussions on important national matters. The former senator has also often engaged in a tag of war with opponent politicians.
However, December 18, 2014, is a day Muthama will always remember.
It is on this day that chaos marred a special Parliamentary sitting on the then contentious Security Bill forcing the then National Assembly Deputy Speaker Joyce Laboso to call for a 30-minute adjournment.
The session had been convened to vote on the Security Laws (Amendment) Bill 2014 but turned chaotic as opposition MPs tried to stop the process.
The angry MPs tore up order papers and littered the floor of the House while chanting ant-Jubilee slogans.
The MPs (opposition and Jubilee) engaged their Jubilee counterparts in embarrassing physical confrontations that were captured on camera.
Muthama was not spared in the confrontations as his trouser was badly torn living him partly naked.
Kenyan’s later criticised the MPs for their dishonorable behavior and lack of decorum.
