The President warned that Mr Joho should focus on his work as the county governor and that he should stop interfering with the national government projects.

"He should not play with us or else we will teach him a lesson," President Kenyatta said.

The President warned Joho that if he was going to persist with his interference, then he would face unspecified actions.

"Mwambieni asituchezee...sisi tutamnyorosha (tell him not to joke with us... we’ll deal with him)," President Kenyatta said.

Mr Kenyatta told off Joho to stop following him wherever he goes as if he was his wife but should rather tell the people of Mombasa what projects had he done with Ksh 40 million remitted to the County government by the national treasury.

"Why does he want to follow me? I'm I his wife? He should tell people what he has done for them," he said.

He further warned Joho to stop clinging onto the projects initiated by the national government and yet the people were suffering under his watch over the poor garbage collections which lies under the County government mandates.

"He only wants to boast and show off. He should start cleaning the county, which is in a mess due to garbage," he said.
