Renowned cleric Dr. David Owuor had arrived at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos, Nigeria two years ago when he was approached by believers and non-believers for miracles.
According to a Nigerian website, ThisDayLive.com, Dr. Owuor was accosted by security men for prayers which he gladly obliged.
The self-styled prophet is said to have placed his hand on their heads and only said, “God bless you”.
The blogosphere was awash with the news of how Prophet Owuor was struggling to perform miracles during his visit to Nigeria.
At one point, the prophet is reported to have declined to “bless” another man who had a rosary until he removed the ‘annoying religious symbol’.
“Owuor carries the stigma of a fake preacher, even in his home country. And many decent and self-respecting clergy keep their distance from him,” the website reports.
However, what most people missed was what Owuor’s Repentance and Holiness Church did to counter the claims by the Nigerian site.
Owuor’s church posted a video of the man of God prophesying about a heavy downpour during a meeting with Nigerian clerics and his prophecy came true.
Later on, the heavens opened and Owuor is seen ‘boasting’ on how his word had come to pass.
