Mandera Governor Ali Roba has said that the decision to elect, re-elect, or remove leaders lies with the electorates, and not the community elders.
“I have said it that the decision to elect, re-elect or remove leaders lies in the hands of the electorates and not some few individuals posing as community elders,” said the Mandera County Boss on Friday.
He further added that negotiated democracy is a thing of the past and has collapsed in Mandera, citing that the electorates have the power to elect their own leaders.
The County boss will be seeking to defend his seat for a second term under the Jubilee umbrella.
