Richard Tong'i, Member of Parliament for Nyaribari Chache on Wednesday said he will not initiate any project which will be opposed by the electorates.

"I am not ready to misuse the power I have been given by the people. Development projects to be initiated in the region will have to come from the people who will be given the tenders to complete the projects and get paid," he said.

He said locals will be engaged through public forums and barazas.

"Residents should not shy away when public forums will be organized. I urge everyone to come out and give plans on how the region will be developed because the money being used to do the projects comes from the people through taxes," said the lawmaker.

Tong'i assured that he is not scared working with his opponents.

"I am ready to engage my opponents to boost the living standards of our people. It is time to deliver and not time for politics," he added.
