Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire has called on the government to ensure that it provides security to every Kenyan adding that it was bad if the government had received the information earlier but did not take any action.
Speaking on the Garissa University College attack by the Al Shabaab that claimed the lives of 148 innocent students at Sengera in Nyamira County, he said that the attack should be condemened. He also blamed the government for acting sluggishly on the matter.
"The Garissa attack should be condemned in the strongest terms possible. We are informed that the government was aware but because of lack of seriousness they dragged their feet and never took any step to help stop it," he said.
He also blamed the Jubilee government leadership on the way they handled national matters; specifically security of Kenyans. He noted that the first mandate of any government should be to ensure that they could give security to the people.
"The Jubilee government lacks the seriousness of handling serious national issues," said the legislator.
Bosire however called on the leaders from the Gusii region to come together and find a way of helping the families of the victims of the attack from the Gusii region.
