Members of the Akamba community will overwhelmingly vote for the Jubilee government because the opposition doesn't offer them much, an MP has revealed.
Speaking on Tuesday Mwingi Central MP Joe Mutambu was categorical that the Jubilee government had made sufficient inroads into the region which overwhelmingly voted for the opposition in 2013.
The rebel Wiper MP further told Nasa running mate Kalonzo Musyoka to stop deluding himself that he had the region's votes under lock and key saying the ground has since shifted.
Mutambu also revisited the Sunday incident in which Kitui West MP Francis Nyenze and Kitui Senator David Musila reportedly endorsed the re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta saying that was the reality on the ground.
"What Nyenze and Musila said is the truth. The electorate is solidly in Jubilee," he said.
