President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto are set to be inaugurated today, November 28th.Mr Uhuru is expected to assume office for his second and last term.According to the latest revelations, while taking his oath of office, President Kenyatta will place his hand on the Bible that was used by his late father Mzee Jomo Kenyatta when he was sworn in as founding President in 1964.This is a different scenario because, in the 2013 swearing in occasion,Uhuru Kenyatta was sworn in as the fourth president of Kenya while holding the Bible his father used to take oath as Prime Minister in 1963.Additionally, it has also been revealed that, the Bible that Mzee Kenyatta used when he took oath as Kenya's first prime minister shall be used by one, William Ruto this time round. And since Uhuru still holds office, there will be no handover of of power instruments, that includes a sword that signifies the Commander In Chief of Defense Forces and the constitution. It has also been confirmed that, while signing their certificates of inauguration, Kenyatta and Ruto will use the table former President Mwai Kibaki used during the promulgation of the 2010 Constitution.According to the law, the oath of office must not be conducted earlier than 10am and not later than 2pm and it is to be administered by the Registrar of the Judiciary in the presence of the Chief Justice.
