Uhuru, put to task on why the government shut down TV stations on January during the purported swearing in by Raila Odinga, the president said the shutdown was only ‘for one day’ during the ‘swearing-in’.

“They were shutdown on a single day when Raila Odinga went and purported to swear himself in as president of the Republic of Kenya,” Uhuru said.

He added: “That was the only day. You can do your homework and check: the only day that they were shutdown.”

The ‘homework’ has however shown otherwise; that the shutdown was up to a week!

This writer’s ‘homework’ showed that transmission systems were shutdown on January 30, when Raila had the mock swearing in at Uhuru Park, and signals for NTV and KTN News were allowed on air on February 5.

Royal Media Services’ Citizen TV and Inooro stayed for three more days.

They were back on February 8.

Why did President Uhuru Kenyatta lie to the whole world? And will he get away with this lie?
