Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago has reassured the residents in the county that his administration will embark on major roads maintenance and construction across the county soon as the ongoing heavy rains stop.
The Governor acknowledged that pounding rains in the region has left the roads and other infrastructural structures in a bad state. He noted that the department of roads and public works have enough machinery to correct the mess.
"I have ordered the roads department to work on some roads points where they are impassable at the moment, even as we await the rain reduce," said Mandago.
The County Boss was speaking during a Harambee in aid of AIC Fellowship Annex on Sunday where urged the church project management committees to ensure that they manage church resources and accomplish projects on time.
He commended the AIC Fellowship mother church and the project committee of AIC Fellowship Annex for their outstanding energy and commitment to ensure that the project is actualized.
"Most churches have been built for years without complication, some started when we were young, up to now we are still struggling with the same project" added Mandago.
