Homabay County Women representative Gladys Wanga has warned against the swearing in of Jubilee Party leader Uhuru Kenyatta as president following the controversial repeat presidential election outcome.
The vocal MP said immediately when an attempt to swear in President Kenyatta for another term in office will be followed by the opposition moving to swear in NASA leader Raila Odinga into the same office.
Mrs. Wanga made this remarks during a public gathering at Kamkunji grounds on Sunday where the coalition’s resistance movement uniform dawning leaders insisted on ensuring their supporters boycotted Safaricom, Bidco and Brookside products.
“Hakuna siku Uhuru(President Kenyatta) ataapishwa kama rais tena. Wakiapisha, tunaapisha,”
(There is no day that we will have Uhuru sworn in as president again. They swear him in, and we also swear in- referring to Mr. Odinga) said Mrs. Wanga
Uhuru Kenyatta was declared the winner in the October 26 fresh election despite the election’s failure to happen in four counties that are opposition-affiliated.
