Kisii town remained calm as Kenya prepares for the swearing in of President Uhuru and his deputy William Ruto while the NASA leaders are set to hold prayers for the police brutality victims at Jacaranda grounds, Nairobi.
Unlike other regions, Kisii woke up to a busy Monday, Governor James Ongwae, who is an ODM supporter, has not addressed his county's people about the big day for both the government and opposition.
As evident during the campaign periods, Kisii was a divided region with both jubilee and NASA having an almost equal share of the vote.
Although tomorrow is gazetted as a public holiday, businessmen say they will open their businesses as they view it as a normal day.
"Kesho nitakuwa kazini kama kawaida. Jubilee ama NASA nchi lazima isonge mbele..." a boda-boda rider said.(Tomorrow I will be working. Whether Jubilee or NASA, the country must move on.
