Kisii has woken up into a busy morning with mixed reactions ahead of a busy day for the NASA supporters.
Raila Odinga and Stephen Kalonzo are scheduled to be sworn in today, 30th January, as the President and deputy president of the people's assembly.
Kisii is known to be politically divided. Regardless of that, the town is running, as usual, businesses are open, the transport sector is fully operational.
"We are waiting for Raila to be sworn in today! But this does not mean that I resist my job yet, after all, I still have to pay my bills," Brian Nyasani, a boda-boda operator who supports the swearing in said.
On the other hand, some have termed the day as the last day for Raila's political career.
"Let him do what he wants. But he should not cause chaos," Winnie Moraa, a business lady in Kisii town said.
There is no political leader who has spoken to the people about the eagerly waited moment.
Kisii town has never been involved in political chaos therefore termed as one of the safest town.
Speaking to Alex Mwakideu on Radio Maisha in the morning, Norman Magaya, NASA's CEO, said that the swearing in of Raila and Kalonzo will take place as planned.
