"We have been having a good relationship with him of late and it will continue beyond this election. I campaigned for him and NASA ahead of the election," said Ngilu.
Ngilu also said she is willing to work with her predecessor Governor Julius Malombe and she has even identified the role she has in store for him.
"Malombe was a former university lecturer. Luckily, in the past, I managed to facilitate the setting up of two universities in Kitui. We will secure him a job in one of the institutions as a lecturer," she said.
Ngilu urged Malombe to concede defeat just as Senator David Musila had done.
