The nation is waiting with bated breath as the Supreme Court judges take time out to go through the evidence submitted by Raila Odinga legal team and that of IEBC, Wafula Chebukati and President-elect Uhuru Kenyatta teams for a final verdict on Friday.
However, before that is done, NASA lawyer James Orengo said at least 5 million votes have been affected by the errors by IEBC.He spoke of this on Tuesday while presenting the report on their scrutiny of the IEBC server and the form 34As and Bs
"Our case has been proved that forgery, alteration of documents fakery and deception have been used in various ways, including one in which the server was used," NASA lawyer James Orengo told the court.
"These affected nearly five million votes," added Orengo, referring to discrepancies in 90 constituency forms.
In a quick rejoinder, IEBC and Kenyatta's counsel dismissed the allegations by Orengo saying Kenyatta was duly elected.
"You can't be asked to nullify the election on the basis of allegations, suspicions, my Lord, but there is no challenging the numbers, the votes," lawyer Paul Muite said.
