Cord leader Raila Amolo Odinga will be a one term president if he ascends to power, which is not a point of argument in this case. NASA is yet to outline the plans it has for the Luhya community in regard to Presidency. 

In a bid to win the Kamba vote, NASA Leaders have said that they will back Wiper Party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka in 2022.Will the alliance back a Luhya leader to lead this nation after Kalonzo? What will happen to the Kalenjins in NASA if Jubilee goes home?

If that is the case then NASA is a collection of tribal leaders. What will happen to Kalonzo’s presidential dream if the Luhya community walks away from the alliance? 

The Mulembe nation is not a ladder others will keep using to ascend to power. During the negotiations of who the alliance was going to field for the nation’s top seat, a section of Luhya’s said ‘No Mudavadi No NASA’ as others chanted ‘No Wetangula No NASA’. 

These are some of the issues that are likely to dent Kalonzo’s presidential dream. We are tempted to think that someone wants to dupe another in this alliance. 

In Mombasa, Governor Ali Hassan Joho is also scouting for the presidential seat. Joho has been a strong supporter of the former prime minister. 

This should not be mistaken that he will automatically back Kalonzo as he seeks to go the state house. Raila has shown clearly that he cannot honor MoU’s. How do we expect the people around him to do so when he retires from politics?
