National Super Alliance (NASA) Presidential candidate Raila Amolo Odinga did not ask the Supreme Court to declare him the winner of the last general election.

The opposition leader wants the Supreme Court to overturn President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election and call for another election.

The seven judges of the supreme court, Chief Justice David Maraga, DCJ Philomena Mwilu and Justices Jackton Ojwang, Smokin Wanjala, Njoki Ndungu Justice Mohammed Ibrahim and Isaac Lenaola have been secluded at  a Nairobi Hotel where they are expected to comb through the evidence before making their ruling.

According to National Super Alliance (NASA), President Uhuru Kenyatta did not win in a free and fair manner.

The legal team of the opposition, led by Senator James Orengo, argued that the elections were marred by different forms of malpractices including forgery.

“Our case has been proved that forgery, alternation of documents fakery and deception have been used in various ways, including one in which the server was used,” Orengo told the court on Tuesday night, as quoted by the Star.

On their part, Jubilee leaders have termed the opposition petition as magician’s tricks and the Bermuda Triangle among other descriptions. They have also maintained that Uhuru won fairly.
