ODM party leader Raila Odinga has told Kenyans to stand firm against the Jubilee administration which, he said remains the biggest obstacle to the realization of development in the country.
Raila said a government that goes on holiday when health workers are on strike does not deserve existence.
"No competent, caring and accountable government can proceed on holiday when citizens are suffering, as is the case now because health workers are on strike," he said in his New Year message to Kenyans on Sunday.
"Our people want to build the country. What stands between us and our dreams is the Jubilee government."
The Jubilee administration has constantly been on the mirror over mega corruption scandals including the SGR, NYS, Health Ministry to mention but a few.
Raila has consistently challenged President Uhuru Kenyatta to prove what the billions of shillings his government has borrowed from foreign countries has done.
"The Jubilee government wants to run our lives instead of enabling us to run our own lives," added.
"It is my appeal to the people of Kenya that we dedicate 2017 to the realisation of a clean, honest, competent, inclusive and caring government."
