The political space in the country has taken a new turn with the legal world held onto the question if what next given the withdrawal of NASA leader Raila Odinga from a repeat of the fresh presidential election.
According to Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung'wa who was elected unopposed, regulation 52 of the Election Act requires that a presidential candidate only withdraws within three days after submission if his nomination by the commission.
Mr Ichung'wa argues it is too late for Mr Odinga to quit the race basing on this regulation that was passed early this year.
Various interpretation of the law have all indications pointing to the possibility of the country getting into a fresh presidential election that will attract more candidates from party nomination processes.
IEBC Commissioners were thrown into a legal meeting to deliberate on their next move and have promised to guide the nation.
While the NASA leaders will be pushing for legal avenues to have their demands met an later have fresh presentation elections that will possibly have more candidates nominated to contest, those in Jubilee will be looking at the possibility of having the elections date remain on October 26 or have a likelihood of Uhuru being sworn in.
