According to the opinion shapers, the sea of humanity that welcomed Alfred Keter in Eldoret proves the man is not a joke and he enjoys a warm grassroots support.

One political pundit Mr Lord Mutai says that the Keter loss is just the beginning of the 2022 succession politicals in the Kalenjin nation.

"And today, a son has been born in Nandi. Alfred Keter will come back with a force that shall shake Sugoi to its core. And just like that, the 2022 Kalenjin politics kicks off with a storm," said political analyst Mr Mutai.

ODM director of communication Mr Philip Etale believes the loss is just the beginning of the rise for the son of Nandi Hills.

"This might be the beginning of the rise of Alfred Keter politically. The keyword is Might," said Etale.

Keter has himself said he is not a coward and is ready for elections even today.

However, some pundits have claimed the problem facing Keter is due to his rebellious stands against the party that sponsored him to parliament, hence the young man should now face the music.

"I feel sorry for my friend Alfred Keter, immediate former MP Nandi Hills. The sages of Guinea say "A child can play with its mother's breasts, but not its father's testicles" You once told me, "the same mouth you use to get fame & praise, is the same one you use to cry/curse," said Capt Collins Wanderi.
