The race for Nairobi Governor is already gathering speed with almost a year before the next general polls.
Several leaders affiliated to the Jubilee party have already announced their interest in replacing Governor Evans Kidero.
Some who have already come out to show their interest for the JAP ticket include Water Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa who said that despite being requested by his supporters to vie for Trans Nzoia top seat, he would prefer going the Nairobi way.
Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko is also warming up for the battle alongside Dagoretti South lawmaker, Dennis Waweru, former MP and close ally to Raila Odinga, Bishop Margaret Wanjiru, TNA chair and nominated MP, Johnstone Sakaja and Miguna Miguna with more likely to show up before the elections.
The most confusing part of it is who will get the privilege of flying the flag of the 'yet to be launched party' with the party not having given any hint of its most preferred candidate or the procedure that will be used to pick the most suitable individual who will go ahead to battle it with the sitting county boss, Kidero.
