Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua caught a breath of air and came back to political life on Saturday in what could simply be termed as a vindication.
Mbugua hosted President Kenyatta at Njoro sub-county during the President’s second trip to the county in a month and unlike the first trip where the governor was humiliated by Nakuru residents after he was heckled by residents, on Saturday he claimed that the president had sang praises to him.
Mbugua went to his official facebook page to announce the ‘vindication’.
“H.E. the President Uhuru Kenyatta has today commended Nakuru County leadership led by Governor Kinuthia Mbugua for his efforts to change the livelihoods of Nakuru residents,” the governor said.
Kinuthia went ahead to quote the president: “You are lucky to have a leader who promises and implements and that is what we want as Jubilee government.”
