Enbakasi East MP has said that he is 'sick' and tired of answering the question on the source of his wealth, a topic that has become hot recently.
In a recent interview with Citizen TV, Babu dodged the same question saying that he has spoken about the issue over and over.
The first time legislator challenged to who feel he has earned his wealth through dubious means to table their complaints before the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) or Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) and have him investigated.
“I always believe that my true wealth is in heaven. So this idea of the perception that Babu is wealthy I don’t want to discuss it. I will not discuss it, I’ve discussed it severally in this studio. I will not talk about it. I will not discuss it again. If anybody has a problem there is the DCI, there’s the EACC,” said Babu.
Details of the flamboyant MP have remained scanty but has severally maintained that he makes his money through several business ventures as well connected international friends who fund his projects.
Babu Owino was once a student leader at the University of Nairobi and was popular for splashing cash during campaigns for leadership in the Students Organization of Nairobi University (SONU).
